How much does FactSet cost in 2026?
FactSet does not publish an entry price. A 2026 buyer guide reports about $12,000 a year, against about $13,000 and up for S&P Capital IQ and about $24,000 to $32,000 a seat for a Bloomberg Terminal (PageCrawl). Actual quotes depend on seats, content sets and negotiation.
Why is FactSet's price hard to find?
FactSet sells through quotes, and G2's comparison notes no clear entry-level pricing (G2). A small team usually learns the cost only after a sales call and a trial. That makes it hard to compare FactSet with tools that publish a monthly price.
Who uses FactSet?
FactSet is not only an enterprise tool. Small businesses write 45.7% of FactSet Workstation's reviews on G2 (G2). Many of those buyers are small funds, advisers and corporate teams that need company data, screening and models without a full Bloomberg seat.
How does FactSet compare with other research tools on price?

|---|---|---|---|---|
| FactSet | About $12,000 a year | Company data, screening, Excel models | No published entry price | PageCrawl |
| S&P Capital IQ | About $13,000 a year and up | Financials and comparables | Enterprise-led pricing | PageCrawl |
| Bloomberg Terminal | About $24,000 to $32,000 a seat a year | Live prices and trading | Price for research-only users | PageCrawl |
| Koyfin | Free tier, paid from $49 a month | Public market charts and fundamentals | Little private-market data | CostBench |

Prices above are reported by third parties, several of which sell competing tools. Check current terms with each vendor.
When should you keep FactSet?
Keep FactSet if your team builds models on its data every day, screens public companies across many fields or depends on its Excel integration. Those are the jobs it is priced for. Switching costs are real once models are wired to a data feed.
A cheaper setup makes more sense if you mainly read company profiles, follow private companies or need country and sector context rather than spreadsheet data.
Where does Tamarly Intelligence fit?
Tamarly Intelligence is Tamarly's research platform on companies, funds, countries and markets, built from official filings and open data. Every figure links to the filing or record it came from, and when Tamarly does not cover a company it says so. It does not offer market prices or an Excel data feed, so it complements FactSet rather than replacing it for modelling.
As of 17 October 2026 it holds pages on 19,910 companies, 2,888 funds and 15,359 fund managers, with workflows for hedge funds, asset managers, private equity, venture capital, investment banking, consulting, law firms and wealth advisers.

Frequently asked questions
How much does FactSet cost per user?
FactSet does not publish a per-user price. A 2026 buyer guide reports about $12,000 a year (PageCrawl). Quotes vary with content sets and the number of users.
Is FactSet cheaper than Bloomberg?
On reported figures, yes. FactSet is reported at about $12,000 a year and a Bloomberg Terminal at about $24,000 to $32,000 a seat (PageCrawl). They do different jobs: FactSet for data and models, Bloomberg for live markets.
Is there a free FactSet alternative?
Koyfin offers a free tier for public market charts and fundamentals (CostBench). It does not match FactSet's depth for screening and modelling.
