How much does AlphaSense cost in 2026?
AlphaSense does not publish prices. Contract data from SpendHound, covering 160 customers, puts the average at $44,754 a year for small and mid-sized buyers and $125,124 for enterprises, after year-on-year increases of 17.8% and 48.4% (SpendHound, February 2026). Tamarly Research reviewed these figures in October 2026.
Is there a list price for an AlphaSense seat?
The closest thing to a list price is AlphaSense's listing on AWS Marketplace, which shows Basic access at $20,000 per user for a 12-month contract, with final terms set in a private offer (AWS Marketplace, viewed October 2026). Basic access covers search and summaries across external documents; internal company documents are not part of it. A 5-person team would start near $100,000 a year at that rate.
What do you get for that price?
AlphaSense searches more than 500 million premium documents, including earnings calls, SEC filings and broker research, and its generative search answers with sentence-level citations (ZoomInfo market guide, June 2026). Its expert transcript library, built on the Tegus acquisition, holds more than 200,000 investor-led interviews across 25,000 companies, according to AlphaSense's own reply to a G2 review (G2).
Users on G2 most often praise ease of use, search and content quality. G2's summary of 367 reviews counts 60, 43 and 36 mentions of each (G2).
What do AlphaSense users say after they sign?
Tamarly Research coded 100 AlphaSense reviews on G2 in October 2026. Only 9 were posted organically; the rest came through G2 or AlphaSense invitations, and 73 were marked incentivized. Organic reviewers rated AlphaSense 3.2 out of 5 on average, against 4.5 for invited reviewers (Tamarly Research coding of 100 G2 reviews, October 2026).
The most common complaint was the learning curve, raised in 37 of the 100 reviews. Export and output limits followed at 25, price at 24, search noise at 22 and AI answer quality at 21. Ten reviews mentioned slow answers, with one organic reviewer describing waits of 10 to 20 minutes.
What contract terms should you check before signing?
Check the exit terms first. Two organic reviewers describe a 90-day notice period before automatic renewal, and both say AlphaSense would not shorten it (G2). Before you sign any research platform, confirm these points in writing:
| Term | What to ask |
|---|---|
| Notice period | How many days before renewal must you cancel? |
| Renewal | Does the contract renew for a full year automatically? |
| Seat minimum | Is there a minimum number of seats? |
| Add-ons | Are expert calls and premium research priced separately? |
| Sharing | Can colleagues without a seat read exported work? |
| AI use of content | Which broker research can the AI summarize? Reviewers report that many brokers bar AI analysis of their reports. |
Which AlphaSense alternatives fit which job?

| Private-company and deal records | PitchBook, S&P Capital IQ | PitchBook $12,000 to $70,000 a year | VC Beast |

When should you keep AlphaSense?
Keep AlphaSense if your team searches broker research and earnings transcripts on listed companies every day and has already climbed the learning curve. Reviewers who use it daily credit it with large time savings, and its citation-backed answers suit regulated work.
Reconsider if only part of the team uses it, if most of your work is on private companies or if the renewal price has risen faster than your use.
